Ephesians 6 (CJB) Angellic Warfare
10 Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! 11 Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. 12 For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13 So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. 14 Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist,  put on righteousness for a breastplate, 15 and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom. 16 Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. 17 And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God; 18 as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.

Today's average child of God does little more with the Truth of God than to hold his or her conduct ‘helmet’ in check in so called Christian circles. Yet, outside of this circle, we loosen the belt to look more like the world, instead of God’s Righteousness we put on relative righteousness, this sort of double standard is spiritually abnormal and this is why; that, when we laugh at discolored comments, we immediately feel that twinge of guilt. Of course, when we conduct our lives in this manner our feet are never in a position to share the Good News of Peace with God.

Fortunately, and for God’s glory, we cannot remove the glory of God in us as we cannot take off our helmet of salvation. Many unbelieving people recognize our saved position in life as God’s Glory ‘ helmet’ will not come off. It is certain evidence that we are different than they are. This is a confusing status in carnality and if we were to use the Word of God in this spiritual condition we will become hypocritical. There is little worth if our vigilance and persistency fails to be spiritual as we will be wielding a dull sword.

The dilemma is that we FAIL to recognize the opposition. Most of us feel that we have to prove ourselves to other human beings that we are like them. In other words, the battle is fought with them as the enemy. This is humbug, our battle, as clearly stated is not with people around us. It is with the spiritual forces of evil that surround ALL OF US. The children of God and the children of the devil are surrounded by overwhelming powers of rulers of DARKNESS. If you do not consider, your position in Christ is compromised.

Now, this is a PROBLEM! If we as the children of God fail at walking as children of God, then how do we expect to be STRONG in the LORD and in the POWER OF HIS MIGHT? There are plenty of saints in our nation today, but far too many of those are ‘plumbers putty’ in the hands of demons. If you are ‘plumbers putty’ it could be because you have skipped over Ephesians 6:10-12.
