Today’s Kick Start! – (NKJV) Habakkuk 2 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.

As we wait for God to Answer  – Habakkuk 2:5-20.

“Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man, And he does not stay at home. Because he enlarges his desire as hell, and he is like death, and cannot be satisfied, He gathers to himself all nations and heaps up for himself all peoples. “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his—how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. “Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, That he may set his nest on high, That he may be delivered from the power of disaster! 10 You give shameful counsel to your house,

JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He Forever, IS God!

My plan was to place all of Chapter 2 of Habakkuk on the devotional this morning… but then I would not have room to add my thoughts (two cents). This could be a blessing for you but a curse for me since I always seem to have something to say!

Habakkuk’s concern for the ongoing evil in Israel parallels the concern of many of God’s children today. If you seriously study and meditate on the words of this prophet of God—he very vividly describes the current events of our day. Solomon in his wisdom states that there is ‘nothing new under the sun and that what goes around, comes around again and again. So, the decay of justice, morality, and God consciousness in our nation should not come as a shock; but, we should have been prepared!

I start with the last sentence of Habakkuk 2, verse 9. Our nation is saturated with the men of the house who covet evil as a means of gain. He motivates his household to do evil that it may rise above the pending disasters of current events. His counsel to his household is shameful. How so, you may ask? Rioting in the neighborhood; Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city,.

Coveting—a major crime of SIN against God, see Isaiah 14:11-21 – Lucifer is intoxicated with coveting what God has, and he uses every evil known to mankind to shake the foundations of God’s divine institutions from God’s created world. The devil also uses intoxication of the mind (religion, drugs, and alcohol) to keep humans in the dark and so destroy mankind by directing his path of life away from his creator.

Religion is by far the devil’s best tool, but running a close second place, is immoral activity vice marriage for sexual gratifications. Then he promotes children as worthless creatures, worthy only of abortion or abuse. Finally his ultimate weapon which we feel the heat of this weapon today to globalize humanity, thus destroying nationalism. 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
