Amos 4:6 (CSB) A Reason why!
6 “This is why I will deal with you in this way, Isra’el; and because I will deal with you in this way, prepare to meet your God, Isra’el —
Jesus Christ/Messiah is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever—Hebrews 13:8
The reason for God's message is CLEAR, from the lips of His Prophet Amos, Adonai outlines the completed sins of other nations. There are three stages of discipline that nations go through, yet the nation survives. the four cycle that comes upon the nation is like the ‘hand writing on the wall’ like that found in the book of Daniel. There is the final cycle wherein God destroys the nation. Amos relays Adonai’s message to Judah and Israel that both the Southern and Northern kingdom will suffer the fifth cycle of discipline like all of the nations around Israel.
Now the country of Israel has followed in the same path as the Gentile nations around them and God has placed Israel in the fifth cycle just as all the rest of the nations. NO NATION is exempt from the Judgment of God when that nation determines as a whole that the debauchery and decadence of it’s people is esteemed more important than the Righteous Will of The Creator God. God is NOT the Father of lies, deception and murder, Lucifer/Satan IS.
John 8:44 CJB –You belong to your father, Satan, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. From the start he was a murderer, and he has never stood by the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is speaking in character; because he is a liar — indeed, the inventor of the lie!
There are only two choices for a nation, obey God, or submit to Satan. It should be evident that God demands a nation to protect its people in ‘right living’. No nation is perfect and one could say that the mercies of God are a provision of His grace which allows mankind some margin of error because men, women, and children are born in the sin of Adam, and are sinners. But when the sin of that nation is full, like revealed in Amos, God does not say ‘ho-hum’ let me give them another chance, since the judgments of God are as sure as His mercies.
In fact; the mercy of God endures forever—yes, God’s mercy is always available so why then would anyone think that His judgment would be any different? So in conclusion - I am confident that the United States of America and it's churches are at the door of God's fifth cycle-thus we should prepare to meet our God.
