The Devotional – Search the Scriptures – 443

 Authority of the message given to Amos (CJB) 3:1-8
1Listen to this message that the Lord has spoken against you, Israelites, against the entire clan that I brought from the land of Egypt: 2 I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities. 3 Can two walk together without agreeing to meet? 4 Does a lion roar in the forest when it has no prey? Does a young lion growl from its lair unless it has captured something? 5 Does a bird land in a trap on the ground if there is no bait for it? Does a trap spring from the ground when it has caught nothing? 6 If a ram’s horn is blown in a city, aren’t people afraid? If a disaster occurs in a city, hasn’t the Lord done it? 7 Indeed, the Lord God does nothing without revealing his counsel to his servants the prophets. 8 A lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who will not prophesy?

Jesus Christ/Messiah is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever—Hebrews 13:8
Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes clearly reveals the condition of mankind on the earth who without any regard for God lives and dies ENPTY. It is very clear that ‘since we have brought nothing into this world, that mankind without knowing God will take nothing out of this world when they pass’. We should also know that any man, woman, or child with a bit of education can make any statement or comment and twist it into their version of purpose—this also is vanity.

I reckon the question would be, so what is VANITY? A biblical definition of vanity would be; seeking to live LIFE apart from any input from God, this would not mean that you do not acknowledge the existence of God; as well does not mean that you have rejected God or that you are an unbelieving Jew or Gentile. Vanity is living for yourself or biblically speaking—self-righteousness. Even your circle of friends are affected, since your self-esteem is above them. 

Philippians 2:3 (CSB) 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. It is painfully obvious to all; Black, White, Brown, or Red, that; at the present time all peoples of the earth are as Amos, chapters 1 and 2 reveal, we are under God’s Divine PUNISHMENT. God is calling for all nations to repent as He has placed JUDGMENT on all the lands of the earth

Amos 3:6 sums this up very clearly—If a ram’s horn is blown in a city, are not people afraid? If a disaster occurs in a city, hasn’t the Lord done it? A ram’s horn is a shrill and loud noise, does this not parallel with cries of the those whose lungs are filled with man-made viruses. And is this not the sounds of rioting of PAID thugs and ignorant people marching through our cities. Our nation is crumbling right before our eyes so STOP NOW and REPENT! Or else, God will do what He needs to do. What does He need to do? We will soon find out if we do not repent!
