Psalm 12 New King James Version (NKJV)
Man’s Treachery and God’s Constancy
To the Chief Musician. On an eight-stringed harp. A Psalm of David.
1 Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things, Who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?” “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever. The wicked prowl on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
Psalms – Meditation in The Wisdom and knowledge of God

The Psalms help you and me to reflect on the interactions of people in our lives, just as King David and other writers of the Psalms. Personal experiences of everyday life. Victories and defeats of every aspect of living. Our God knows that the circumstances of living life, He created us to serve Him faithfully, but we rejected serving Him even in a Garden called Eden; God’s garden of pleasure and delight for man. God knows far better than we do that the godly man has ceased today, just as in David’s day.

We could say that people today experience a greater degree of faithlessness than in 900BC, but we do not have any proof of that. We do know that the light in the gospel is bright and that there is no shifting of shadow with God. Thus, it is with mankind where the problem of faith in God disappears, the Light grows dim with, idol conversation, flattering lips, and a double heartedness, with the tongue we hear men and women of their delight in darkness. This darkness spreads into godly assemblies and in no time at all the tongues of godly thinkers begin to flourish in ungodliness.

We need to thank God for the poor and needy folks who remain faithful to God. He hears their cries; He will rise up and defend their call for a return to Truth. The Words of the LORD are pure,  even as tides of mankind’s faith shift from generation to generation God’s Word is pure, with each passing generation the Word of the LORD is purified and preserved, and it is guarded and protected forever. While we travel through life, we are reminded that 1 Timothy 6:5-7 useless wrangling’s of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
