SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 10:21-24
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.  “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; “for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.”

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
The world around us cannot produce or reproduce the ‘joy’ of the Holy Spirit. If you are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, then you have experienced a supernatural joy that the condemned world does not know. I find it a very near comfort that the Lord Jesus in His humanity, on several occasions rejoiced in the Spirit. The humanly wise and prudent person who is without redemption can be happy, but ‘joy’ is revealed only to those who are children of God.

All things are delivered to Jesus, these things were given to Him by His Father as Jesus is the heir of all things (Heb 1:2) – has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

Rom 11:33 – Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! Eph 3:8 – To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

There are numerous encouraging verses of God’s Word that reveals the Wisdom God in Christ, yet the fool has said in his or her heart the words of Psalm 41:1 – To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.

The prophets and kings of the past, before Christ had the joy of the Holy Spirit and the Father to consult with, they also understood that Messiah was coming and that the kingdom of God was available. This is what they longed to see, these men and women knew the joy of the LORD as we do today; they would have accepted the kingdom of heaven and follow Christ. By FAITH these prophets and kings and those who heard and believe searched for the kingdom whose builder and maker is God. If you and I as a child of God are not seeking the kingdom of God by faith, then we are no different than the folks following Jesus as He prepares to enter Jerusalem just a few days from now.

A Devotional – SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (17)  COMMENT: Looking a little deeper! The cause of the flood that covered the entire surface of the earth, resulted; apart from the families of Adam and Seth. The families of unrighteous Cain also was multiplying. Cain went out (away) from the LORD; See Genesis 4:16-26. I want to note that the man Lamech in Cain’s family, is not the Lamech who begot Noah of Methuselah’s family who is of the Adam family. If you visit the Ark Encounter in Kentucky you will see that Adah, one of Lamech’s wives’ interviews Noah about the building of the Ark, quite clever, I believe.
