The Devotional - Praise and Worship - The Word of God

The Devotional Psalm 150:1-6 – Praise the LORD, Praise the LORD in His sanctuary; Praise the LORD in His mighty firmament (His expanse). Praise Him for His mighty acts, Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the “sound” of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. PRAISE THE LORD! COMMENT: How often do you read this Psalm? If you are like me, hardly ever. It is not because the Psalm is not as worthy as the others and it is not because we are not able to find meditation and spiritual insight in the Psalm. Yet, the Psalm takes the back seat in our daily prayer and meditation because many, in days past have used the Psalm to apply false religious worship by separating the Psalm from a personal and daily relationship with our Creator God. Many

The Devotional - Meditation - The Word of God

The Devotional Psalm 37:3-4 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and feed on the LORD and His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Please read and meditate on the entire Psalm 37:1-36. COMMENT: Many young people during May and June are graduating from high school, trade school, colleges and universities. Nearly ninety percent of these young people will never use their newly acquired talents to full potential in the remaining years of their life. They will assume “bad luck” and “missed opportunity” the main reasons for this failure. Others will chalk it up to fate, personal failure and other false observations connected to life; the reason... We do not know how to trust in the LORD because we have not heard of or ever called upon Him or sought Him. Many have never seen the inside {pages) of a Holy Bible. (I was past the age of twenty) Therefore, we do not understand that we can “feed” our soul on t

The Devotional - Summury - God is Awesome

The Devotional Psalm 19:12-14: Who can understand (his) errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then i shall be innocent great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart  be acceptable in Your sight. My strength and my Redeemer. COMMENT: The Holy Spirit through the pen of king David, present for us a very vivid picture of truth regarding Creation and the Word of God. If you and I are serious about our relationship with our Creator, we will meditate and make personal application of the Words of this Psalm, daily. A child of God cannot merely look at this Psalm and move on with his or her day without thinking about the Majesty and Splendor of God in Creation. The words from verse one to verse six; when one meditates on these are very humbling and truly; these words bless us with the Awesome power and presents of God, not only on that day of Creation, but are

The Devotional - Written Word - The Revelation of God

The Devotional Psalm 19:7-11: The law of the LORD; PERFECT, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD; SURE, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD; RIGHT, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the LORD, PURE, enlightening the eyes, the fear of the LORD; CLEAN, enduring forever. The judgments of the LORD; TRUE. RIGHTEOUS altogether. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them, GREAT REWARD. COMMENT: Many versions of the written Word of God have added words to help the flow of scripture when being read. For example; in our test this morning, verse 7 would read from the New King James Version as follows. "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. While this is okay for reading, it may not be okay for meditation and study, allow me to explain! If we were just reading the text, the italic word is for the flow mood to READ ONLY, but if I place the text in the emphatic mood as
