Today’s Kick Start! – (NKJV Psalm 121 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve you’re going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Personal Obedience—(NKJV) The Lamb of God gives the answer to mankind’s dilemma.
John 3 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, [literally – from above] he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” 9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He IS God Forever!
People who search for TRUTH can find VICTORY as the Truth is God; as in Jesus the Lamb of God. Nicodemus was and is a man who searched for Truth and because his search ended in victory, he is at this present time with the Truth of God in heaven – Jesus clearly reveals that He is the Truth of God, and our Holy Bible verifies this Truth in its entirety. One special place is found in John’s gospel. John 14 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”.
Being born once in the flesh – Is not sufficient or complete; Jesus clearly reveals that mankind must be ‘born again’ that is to have a second birth. Our first birth into this world is of the world. As you know the world in under the curse of God, it is fallen and everything of the world perishes under the sentence of death. Jesus clearly reveals to Nicodemus that he should not take lightly the words of Jesus—you must be born again!
What is in the name [Nicodemus] the name is of Greek origin ‘nike’ is a word for ‘victory’ and ‘demus’ is a word for ‘people’ there is a lot of information about his name, but for the purposes of this devotional his name is ‘victory of the people’ in Greek, in Hebrew it is, ‘Ben Gurion’ meaning ‘conqueror’ Nicodemus is a ‘nickname’ like if you are a child of God another person can refer to you as a ‘Christian’. Nicodemus became a follower of the Messiah. Throughout the ministry of Jesus of Nazareth Nicodemus is visibly portrayed as silent follower, but he was always visible to the Messiah. See (John 7 50-52) and was present at his burial (John 19 39-42) are you visible to Jesus?
