The Devotional – Search the Scriptures – 560

Today’s Kick Start! (CJB) Proverbs 8: 17 I love those who love me; and those who seek me will find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me, lasting wealth, and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, fine gold, my produce better than the finest silver.

By choice; mankind suffers in intellectual poverty!

John 3:27-30 (NKJV) Discerning the heart of Mankind

27 John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He Forever, IS God!

2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. John the Baptizer understood his ministry, that he received it from the disciplines of God’s Will. So many of those in ministry today fail to understand that a person does not receive God ordained ministries unless it is given to him or her directly and personally from the heaven.

The responsibility of knowing who you are in Christ is revealed to every child of God as described in this short exhortation from John to his disciples. We, like John are not the bridegroom. Presently as God’s children we are friends of the bridegroom and today we go before Him. Our ministry is too preach and teach the good news of God. One day soon we will become the bride of Christ, this also is from the disciplines and kindnesses of God. We rejoice with joy unspeakable—full of the glory produced by the grace of God upon His children.

Soon and very soon, we will follow Him on white horses—Jesus Christ must increase in each of us as He has in His being: Love, Joy, Peace, Long suffering (patience), Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. If you do not have these gifts of God the Holy Spirit increasing in you daily, then politely excuse yourself from ministry before the Messiah does.

1 Corinthians 10 all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
