Spiritual Insight (Part 2)
9 Honor the Lord
with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; 10 So
your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new
wine.
11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the Lord
loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
The Christ/Messiah – Meditation in
The Wisdom and knowledge of God
Some may find it confusing, or some other facet of reasoning
regarding wealth and discipline emerging from this section of Proverbs. We must
recall that the entire Word of God was written in book form, but within the
writing of each book, it was seldom to be found a chapter, a paragraph, or
verse, or any sort of numbering system. There were no exclamation marks,
periods, commas, hyphens or question marks. All of this was added years later.
Still, it seems confusing to follow Solomon’s thought, but
often when I am following a subject in God’s Word it is difficult to stay on
track, since there are so many parallels of truth that flow in and out my mind on
the subject at hand. I consider this to be the joy and prosperity found in the
Holy Word of God that we all need as we meditate in the Lord/Adonai.
Grace and Mercy are enormous gifts from God, without grace
and mercy—there would be NO Truth. God’s ‘First Fruits’ is Jesus, He is the
Christ/Messiah, He is the Lord, He is Adonai.
Exodus 34:6
– (CJB) Adonai passed before him and
proclaimed: “YUD-HEH-VAV-HEH!!! Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh [Adonai]
is God, merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in grace and
truth. Note John 1:14 (NKJV) – And the Word became flesh and dwelt
among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
the Father, full of grace and truth.
God gave us His First Fruit the Christ/Messiah, God expects us to understand the sacrifice of
