Psalm 23 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Lord is The Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

The Christ – Meditation in The Wisdom and knowledge of God

Confidence in living is something that we struggle with, internally we are in an uproar with ourselves. We argue and worry in our mind about the inner personal fears of living. personal hopes vanishing from our mind's eye and again—a list of future ambitions that will never materialize. Many may argue that our expectations are faulty, to begin with, and this is not to say that our expectations are faultless, they are faulty. The world we live in is—darkness, so how can darkness shed light on any subject?

We have been saying all along that; God is Light and in Him is no darkness. Most every child of God understands this as this is not a science of practice, it is the Truth. Being the Truth, “let God be True and all men a liar” An excerpt from Romans 3:2. We read scripture, at least I hope we do and this is good, but it is my own personal hope to take reading scripture a step closer to what God desires of us and that is to ‘meditate’ on Him as we read.

“The LORD is My shepherd—I shall not want!” Using our eyes to read these words is only a first step, take this further into our thinking and daytime events we soon find that our fears begin to dissolve. Our want of arguing in our mind fades because we are allowing God to His rightful place in our life.

Truly, is the LORD your personal shepherd? You know the answer that question. In these latter days of life and may be due to age, I have been saying with confidence and meditation that all of the wants in life are fulfilled—not in me for who am I! The LORD/ADONAI is the fulfillment and sustainer of all my needs. I do not have to worry or argue with myself or anyone, I have NO wants as the LORD sustains these for me, just as He sustains the world around me, too.
