John 1:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.
The Christ – Meditation in The Wisdom and knowledge of God

The Eternal Word of our Creator entered His temporal created world as a baby in a manger, you and I well know the story. The shepherds, the angels, the animals, the Jewish parents, the Gentile wise men from the east who visited the Messiah some two years later… and about that time Herod began his inquiry about the Messiah and we see the events of the other side of history. The death of hundreds of male children of two years old and younger.

Matthew 2:17-18 –  17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: 18 “A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted,
Because they
(male children) are no more.” It is not my intent to kill the joy of your Christmas but to draw all of us closer to The LORD. And to help us realize TRUTH rather than accepting the traditional folklore and the religious acts of why God the Father gave us His Son.

The Gospel of John the apostle draws our attention to the eternal Word of God and brings us upfront to His Personal Purpose and Plan for the earthly visit of Messiah’s first coming. John the apostle clearly reveals to his readers that Christmas did not start for God two thousand plus years ago. The true Christmas began in eternity. Over six thousand years ago. “In the beginning, “God” created the heavens and the earth—Genesis 1:1. By His Word, God made the heavens, the earth and all of the creatures—our passage this morning of John 1:1-3.

The apostle John in 1st John carries the message of the birth of Jesus Christ/Messiah to a deeper and more richer understanding when he says in 1 John 1:1-2—That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life—the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that Eternal Life which was with the Father was manifested to us…

In Christ, is the Eternal Plan of God, in the Messiah is the Light and the Life of all mankind. Mankind? Yes to you too. The True Story of Christmas is that Jesus—Immanuel—Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. And in Matthew 1:23, Matthew explains that the word ‘Immanuel’ is GOD WITH US. To be ‘in Christ’ is to have the Light of the world, in you. The darkness does not comprehend us because we no longer belong to the darkness. The world cannot overtake those who belong to the True Meaning of the Virgin Birth—Joyful, joyful!
