Esther 5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Esther’s Banquet
1 Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house. So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!” So Esther answered, “If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him.” Then the king said, “Bring Haman quickly, that he may do as Esther has said.” So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared. At the banquet of wine the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!” Then Esther answered and said, “My petition and request is this: If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said.”
Esther – Meditation in The Wisdom and knowledge of God

Esther is a book in the Holy Bible that somewhat stands alone. as mentioned earlier, the writer who may or may not be Mordecai makes no direct reference to God. With all of the research developed over time, there remain those scholars that would argue that the book should no be considered as part of the Canon. Even Martin Luther had trouble accepting the book as Holy Scripture. This is what I believe! The book was written when during Ezra’s return to Jerusalem, as to encourage Jews who were returning to their homeland; in that God’s providence works immediately in life whether or not people or nations understand this or not.

Every event, whether it is simply a wine party, or a banquet the results of which have a motive to achieve a human endeavor. Yet, nothing is ever gone unseen all of which is directed by the Hand of God and His Providential Will, which in turn carries out His Perfect Will in moving all of mankind in history (His-Story). In my feeble attempt to parallel some of the events of Esther, to our current events in this nation, I would hope to encourage all of us citizens of the United States, that while we are in our homeland; it is not the fear of being carried away to a different land, but the fear of other lands and nations moving in, eroding our freedoms and destroying FAITH in GOD.

We must remember, nations like individual people, under the cognizant of Eye of God’s Providential Will, will REAP what is sown. If we sow to the flesh, God will not be mentioned in our future history books, this does not mean that we have defeated God as some would like to think. But it does mean that our future as a nation will be covered in dross, worthless, rubbish like salt that has lost its flavor. Mark 9:50 – Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.”
