1 Peter 1:12-21 – To them, it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into. Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Jesus, the Christ, God’s Messiah

While going through the Gospel of Luke, I became very aware of our relationship with Jesus and being His disciple. I became aware of the work or Perfect dedication of God the Father, His Messiah and His Holy Spirit to bring so great a salvation to all sinners, and God who in these “last days” revealed this Perfect dedication to us through His only begotten Son; Hebrews 1:1-4.

Also, I understand that many of us take seriously our personal relationship with God and His Messiah Jesus. But there are more than many who do not! Thus, I pre-maturely (that being without proper study) launched into the epistle of 1 Peter to help us shake off the ‘dross of this world’ for a better, closer walk with the LORD and His Christ. God is One and He has revealed Himself to the world through time via His Son, “Jesus Messiah”. God also desires to guide us into His Truth via the Holy Spirit, who He has given to all who have a personal faith in His Messiah. Remember to, which some have forgotten, that ‘Christ’ is the Greek word for Messiah.

God reveals His LOVE! Love is the first characteristic of God that is revealed to man through His Son Jesus, providing the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:13 “and the greatest of these is love”. In 1 Corinthians 13:13 we read a verse pertaining to the gifts of God, (but now abides faith, hope, and love; these three but the greatest of these is love). Also, the Apostle James writes, “Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, WITH WHOM THERE IS NO VARIATION OF SHADOW OF TURNING. Of His will, He brought us forth by THE WORD of TRUTH, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures” see (James 1:17).

Thank God for your justified life as a believer/disciple in Christ, live it and experience God’s will in your life; begin by meditating on Psalm 144:1-15, note verse 15 – Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose GOD is the LORD.
