The Disciples’ Eyes Opened

Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah

Reflecting on Jesus for a moment; He is God, He is Thee Creator, He is Thee Redeemer of all mankind, He is Thee Heir of All. Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds. Jesus is our ‘go-to’ God as He has an understandable and personal interest in us.
Our human capacity to understand this falls short of full knowledge, God is ‘incomprehensible’, yet, God allows us to meditate and study the deep things of God in order to know Him in the personal way we get to know others in our life. God is God, yet as the Son of God, Jesus the Man can be and is known personally. God provided four men to write the gospels, Matthew and John (two Apostles) see Matthew 10:1-4 and two Disciples, Mark and Luke.
Matthew writes to Israel; Jesus is Messiah the King, Mark writes to Israel; Jesus is Messiah the Servant, Luke writes to Israel; Jesus the Divine Messiah and John writes; Jesus the Only-begotten of the Father human Messiah. Therefore, our personal Messiah is Jesus Christ Thee Son of the Living God, incomprehensible ‘yes’ and I say; Praise God. I would rather know God in all of His ‘unsearchable’ character than to serve any god or icon, that having eyes, cannot see or ears and cannot hear, or intellect that cannot love me, personally.
Are you a disciple of Jesus the Messiah, if so than you are as important to Jesus as the Apostles, Jesus uses everyone who studies 2 Timothy 2:15 – Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth and John 8:31 – Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
