Luke 21:7    So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

Matthew 24:3Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

Mark 13:4 “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah

Yesterday we looked briefly at the First coming of the LORD Jesus, born of the virgin Mary, suffered and crucified, killed by the power of sin of which we all had and have a part in. He rose from this death; He is alive again. The apostle Paul writes, “For I deliver to you first of all that which I also received that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day according to the scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. What scriptures are these?

Psalm 22, circa 900BC, written by king David records the death of Jesus on the cross, Daniel 9, circa 700BC, Israel’s seventy weeks and Isaiah 53, circa 450BC, all record the death of Messiah, ending His 1st coming to earth. However, only sixty-nine weeks of the prophecy to restore the nation Israel has been fulfilled, there is yet, one week left. We live in the interim (provisional or temporary) time hidden from the nation Israel. We understand this time as the Church Age, circa 34AD. A dispensational time when God has opened the door to all Gentiles to enter the kingdom of God by FAITH in the gospel of God. When the fulness of the Gentiles arrives, see Romans 11:25, Messiah will return and the final (70th) week of Gabriel’s message to Daniel, in Daniel 9 will be fulfilled. This week we understand as the Tribulation.

The New Testament scriptures provide complete revelation to the Old Testament prophesies of the Plan of God; this revelation is to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. But, God in His Mercy has in the temporary dispensation of Church blinded Israel’s eyes to the gospel, and if the dispensation of the Church is temporary, then to is the blindness of Israel to the gospel. The Second Coming of Messiah will end the seven-year Tribulation; During the Second Coming of Christ/Messiah, He will reign over the entire earth for one thousand years. Israel’s future of LAND, SEED, and BLESSING will be fulfilled.

Messiah WILL end the Church age with His appearance in the clouds, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and the Tribulation can begin at any moment thereafter; there is literally no mysteries or prophesies left to be fulfilled after the Trumpet and the shout from heaven “come up here”, Revelation 4:1. The Church is waiting by FAITH for His soon return. How soon is that?  His return is only always ONE moment and SEVEN years away, 1 Corinthians 15:52. ARE YOU READY? Moment by moment we are kept by His love, Moment by moment, we’ve life from above, looking to Jesus/Messiah until glory does shine. Moment by moment, O LORD, we are your children. Amen!
