Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
Sometimes it is best to read scripture rather than to comment on it. I believe this is just the thing to do here. I have spent several hours going over this parable, only to come up short of what should be said. Primarily the parable expresses the Father’s concern for His chosen nation and the rejection of the nation overall. It also opens the kingdom of God to “whosoever will.”
Not all reject their Messiah as revealed by the apostle Peter when Jesus ask him who He (Jesus). Peter’s reply “You are the Christ the Son of the Living God!” was not the reply of human observation in total as Jesus replied to Peter – Matt 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
In order to understand God through His written and Living Word, we must be willing to believe Him by faith in Him alone.
