The Devotional – Search the Scriptures – 137

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 11:27-28
And it happened as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!”

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
John 1:11-14 – He came to His own (nation) and His own (people) did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, TO them He gave the right (authority) to become the children of God, to those who believed (personal choice) on His Name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD. And the WORD became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH. (“More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!”)

When it comes to religion and idolatry, we today are no different than those in the days that Jesus gave this message to the crowd. Luke 11:29-32 – And while the crowds were thickly gathered together, He began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. “For as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation. “The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed, a greater than Solomon is here. “The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed, a greater than Jonah is here. The Ninevites and the queen of the south were Gentiles and they believed.

Over the years, many have followed religious movements that have ended in tragic circumstances, i.e.; Emotional meltdowns, fake miracles, loss of life and eyes because of spiritual ignorance or demonic insurgence, and a host of other religious ornaments of the demonic world. Demonic activity that seeks and destroys the testimony of New Testament Truth and the testimony of the children of God. The mother of Jesus is important to JESUS alone, just as the WORD of God is to those who are personally born of God. 

Blessed is the fruit of the womb of Mary and she will forever be honored (Luke 1:42). Meditate on this, Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
