The Devotional - 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 - The time draws near
The
Devotional
1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 – And we urge you, brethren, to
recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the LORD and admonish
(instruct) you. And to esteem them very highly in love for their works
sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort (encourage) you, brethren,
warn those who are unruly (idle), comfort the faint hearted, uphold the weak,
be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but
always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the
will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit, do not
despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every
form of evil.
COMMENT:
We the children of God, who by faith
alone in Christ/Messiah alone today; live in urgent times. The three things
that we Saints of the Living God deal with throughout time is tradition, idolatry
and immorality. Now today, we see these evil elements of the human nature merging.
We see Satan’s intent in the world we live in today, that it is full of a merging
ONENESS. A migration to one gender philosophies, a one world government and a
one world religion.
In these
times we hear and see people agreeing with one another that “good and evil” are
now combined, so mixed that one cannot tell the evil from the good, or the good
from the evil. It does not take a PHD in any subject known to man to understand
this. In fact; if all you have is a PHD or higher in any subject on this planet
you will not be able to understand that mankind is becoming autonomous, acting
on his own as a god. The wisdom of the world will not instruct you on this
subject because it does not know it or understand it. 1 Corinthians 2:1-17 and
3:18-23.
This merging,
having entered most churches today has caused pastoral instruction to cease, (see
the Thessalonian passages above) our love for one another (Ephesians 5:1-7) is
no longer evident or practiced. Pastors do not encourage a serious study of the
Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15). Pastors no longer encourage their congregations
to study; so most sit idle in church or at home. This complacency leads many
away from Christ/Messiah. Many now have traded instruction for distraction. Such
as; a music ministry that does nothing to exalt God, or a touchy, feely spirit
ministry that exists only by evil emotion. (see 1 Timothy 4:1-3) These are the times that
every saint of God, should be looking up as our redemption draws near.
