A Devotional – SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (14)  COMMENT: We had a very nice vacation in Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. It was quick but very well enjoyed. First, we took in the play “Jesus” at Sight and Sound in PA. then travelled to KY for the “Ark Encounter” and the “Creation Research Center”. We learned or confirmed many wonderful works of God at all three places. I suppose if the LORD wills I will spend a few days in the devotionals going over some of our trip highlights. SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: (Genesis) The Beginning   Most people who have no concept of God, His Word or Creation believe that the beginning of our Earth, the Heavens, the Sun, the Moon, Galaxies and all things observable by the human eye came to exist by some magical formula made of something that has existed for billions of years. A Devotional – SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (13)  COMMENT: As in all scripture, God provides blessing for people who take God’s Word seriously, He also provides cursing for those who do not. We should not take offense at God or of His Word when warnings from His Word seek our attention. Remember too, it is not Solomon who is the critical opponent. In fact; there is no one who is opposed to blessing you or me, except the reader who opposed to his or her own faith in God. refusing to believe God and be blessed. The Holy Spirit of God and the Wisdom of God are providing the closing words of Proverbs eight. SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: (Proverbs 8:32-36) “Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. A Devotional – SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (12)  COMMENT: God is a “SPIRIT” and those who worship GOD, must do so in spirit and truth (John 4:24). We should dwell on this command of Jesus, as I am fearful that we often overlook this statement of the Messiah. God is not interested in our human religious efforts to please Him. Jesus rejected the religion of the Sadducees and Pharisees and if He did so with His own people, why should we think He would be pleased with our bells and whistles of worship. See and meditate over Matthew 23:1-39. God is only interested in our personal spirit when it agrees with the Truth found in His Word. We then ought to line up with God’s Way, God’s Truth and God’s Life; see John 14:6; also see Psalm 91:1-16.
