Today’s Kick Start! – (CSB) Isaiah 55 6Seek the Lord while he may be found; call to him while he is near.

Personal Obedience—Walk in the Spirit and you will not carry out the deeds of the flesh.

Acts 9 26 When he arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, since they did not believe he was a disciple. 27 Barnabas, however, took him and brought him to the apostles and explained to them how Saul had seen the Lord on the road and that the Lord had talked to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus. 28 Saul was coming and going with them in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He conversed and debated with the Hellenistic Jews, but they tried to kill him. 30 When the brothers found out, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus. 31 So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He IS God Forever!

The one who caused the fathers, sons, and families of the children of God to flee Jerusalem is now returning with a new message. The disciples though are not willing to accept him. Have you ever experienced the fear of meeting up with someone who opposes you? In fear we say things that seldom come to light. Fear causes us to forget Scripture from God who says; Isaiah 4110 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

Men like Barnabus are few, even today the church struggles, look around and do not be naïve. The foundation of most churches planted in the United States are not built on the SOLID ROCK and we are about to witness the houses of religion sink into the sand. Matthew 7. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. It collapsed with a great crash.”

Saul was seeking a debate with the Hellenistic (Greek speaking) Jews and they would not hear him, instead they looked to kill him. Absurd you might say since they refuse to give him an audience. Well put your feet in their shoes, these folks, at the hand of Saul witnessed their relatives, (sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, and friends), being jailed and murdered by this man. It takes a lot of spiritual maturity and humbleness to esteem the perpetrator above yourself. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. See Philippians 2 3.

Saul was sent to Tarsus, his homeland, and the young church experiences peace—God never fails.
