The Devotional – Search the Scriptures – 640

Today’s Kick Start! – (CJB) Psalm 19  11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

Agreeing with the Creator—Psalm 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they then gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He Forever, IS God!

(CJB) James 4 7 Therefore, submit to God. Moreover, take a stand against the Adversary, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and he will come close to you. Clean your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded people! 9 Wail, mourn, sob! Let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy into gloom!

The Law of Lord is PERFECT, it cannot be added too, nor can anyone subtract from it until ALL is fulfilled—Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Every soul of mankind who trust the message of the gospel understands this Truth. Why? Because the Peace of God which goes beyond our understanding floods our soul—Philippians 4:7. Therefore the law of God is the gospel of God to all the world.

 

The Testimony of the Lord is SURE, when believed by you and me, human wisdom and understanding gives way to godly wisdom and understanding and our soul rejoices with our Creator. Psalm 119:100 I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts. The Precepts of the Lord will be looked at when we open Psalm 119.

 

My favorite word in Psalm 19 and 119 is the word Statute, as it always refers to REJOICING. God is not a god of wrath. Every attribute of God; Sovereignty, Love, Eternality, Righteousness, Justice, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Omniscience, Veracity, and Unchangeableness are Pillars of God that cannot be broken, a Statute is that foundation of God that cannot be broken.

 

The Commandment of the Lord is PURE, when our soul encounters the Commandment of God it is filled with the light of God the Holy Spirit. For this, our soul rejoices with Spirit filled godly wisdom that the world around us sees; but does not understand. (CJB) Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self-control. Nothing in the Torah/law stands against such things.

 

The Fear of the Lord is CLEAN, this cleanliness endures forever—in other words; once we understand the foundation that God’s Word is founded on (Jesus). Matthew 21:42 – Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? See Psalm 118:22. Eternally we will have an AWESOME respect for our Creator.

 

The Judgments of the Lord are TRUE, also these are RIGHT! Altogether God’s Law, Testimony, Statutes, Commandment, and Fear, provide every saint of God with a solid foundation that cannot be moved or shaken by the world around us. We need God and all of His Attributes, we need to meditate, we need to pray and we need to walk in the light of God the Holy Spirit. If we are failing to do this we are no different than the world around us, more tomorrow if the Lord tarries.
