The Devotional – Search the Scriptures – 601 Today’s Kick Start! – ( NKJV ) Amos 4:12 – “Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God , O Israel!”   The Minor Prophets – The study of the minor prophets is shamefully neglected these days. Only bits and pieces of the books are well known, yet the truths that lay within the writings are never revealed. For example; is the ‘kick start’ for today,… Amos 4:12… ‘prepare to meet your God, O Israel!’ or Micah 6:8…to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God. Hosea 4:1…’there is no truth or mercy, or knowledge of God in the land.’ The full verse, the context, and the reason these prophets spoke are neglected, but these prophets are very dated for our day. Israel is the only nation on the planet that God desired to govern. Yet, and because Israel desired to be like other nations, that it desired to have a human king, God removed Himself from governing and Saul became the first king in Israel and the nation went the way of the rest of the world.
