Today’s Kick Start! (CSB) James 4 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes.

The power of Humility – James 4:1-6 (CSB)

1What is the source of wars and fights among you? Don’t they come from your passions that wage war within you? You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and wage war. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God. Or do you think it’s without reason that the Scripture says: The spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely? But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

JESUS CHRIST: He IS the same Yesterday, He IS the same Today, He Forever, IS God!

Today as the world closes the door to 2020, I am reminded that we have already planned for 2021. we passionately; moreover, selfishly place our plan ahead of God’s Plan. We are not the least fearful of our desire for the coming year to trample underfoot God’s perfect will. And we dismiss this thought by inwardly saying—‘hogwash, I would never do that to God’

How do you treat others? The Children of God and the children of the devil – do you have standards for both groups? Do you covet what one person has over another? Do you murder with your mouth and destroy the character of the people around you. You say—‘no I do not!’ Then why is it, that when you ask God, He does not answer, maybe it is that you have weaken in faith by strengthening your personal pride! God resist the proud, but He gives strength to the humble. The strength of God is ‘grace’ that is freely poured out on the humble.

I hope our New Year, which has already began for some in other parts of the world will be blessed—and IT WILL BE, to everyone who is humble and submits to God’s Will. 2021 may be a turning point in the history of this world. Keep looking up, we do not know the day or the hour, but we do know—Jesus the Messiah is coming for His Bride, remember five of the ten virgins were foolish. If you are foolish—STOP, if you are not—PRAISE THE LORD!
