Today’s Kick Start! Psalm 119:25-27 (NKJV) 25 My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word. 26 I have declared my ways, and You answered me; Teach me Your statutes. 27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.

Philippians 1:12-18 (NKJV) Preaching the gospel

12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: 16 The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; 17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.

God, does not change; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever—The Messiah!

The Word of God is not bound up by the circumstances surrounding life, the liberty of life, or the normal chase for peace and happiness. The apostle reveals that the things of life within his life and ours as the children of God—happen to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that we have forgotten this very important truth. Are we not imprisoned by the chains of a pandemic? The worldwide conditions of living for all of us has reached in to our most personal spaces of life.

Should this not turn us children of God to the gospel and speak boldly, and know it has for some, but for others we have been ‘muted’ by the governing authorities to close up, and limit the voice of Truth. God is not limited—He causes ALL THINGS, things that are good for people and things that are bad for people. God causes as in Romans 8:28 to come together for good. Certainly, any worldwide effect on humans is evil, but God is not evil, does not the life of Joseph one of the twelve sons of Jacob prove this? See Genesis 50:20.

Here is the point! Some of us look at the world around us to solve the problems and panic in the world. At the end of the day the score is in favor of the world and we humans are left with an empty heart and disappointment. We FORGET that God causes ALL things to work out for us to His Glory. Panic problems are solved and go away when we place our future in the immediate hands of God. God does not live in the past and He does not live in the future—God is an ever-present help in times of need; Read Psalm 46.

It is the pure gospel of Christ that we need to return to. While there may be some short lived benefit from a social, legalistic, or the prosperity gospels of the selfish ambitions of man, it is only the pure gospel of the grace of God that will return mankind to the peace he or she frantically chases away by seeking worldly solutions through the good and evil dictates of the world.
