Today’s Kick Start! John 1:12-13 (CSB) But to all who did receive him, he
gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name,
who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the
will of man, but of God.
Ephesians 3:1-7 (CSB) God’s Plan for
mankind is for all to be saved
1For
this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2 assuming
you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that he gave me for you.
3 The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have
briefly written above. 4 By reading this you are able to
understand my insight into the mystery of Christ. 5 This was
not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed
to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 6 The Gentiles
are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ
Jesus through the gospel. 7 I was made a servant of this gospel
by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.
God, does
not change; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever—The Messiah!
Acts 11:18 – When
they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying, “So then,
God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.”
Acts 14:27 After they arrived and gathered the church together,
they reported everything God had done with them and that he had opened the
door of faith to the Gentiles. Acts 18:6 When they resisted and blasphemed, he shook
out his clothes and told them, “Your blood is on your own heads! I am
innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
After coming to faith and trusting the gospel of the grace
of God it became real via the Holy Spirit for the apostle, that he should go to
the Gentiles. Also by the Will of God, Paul suffered persecution and prison
time as a result of Jewish opposition to his apostleship and ministry. Both
from religious Jewish leaders and Jewish Believers, he was after to put an end his
ministry to the Gentiles. In brief, he reminds the Ephesians of this in verse 1
of chapter 3.
The Ephesian church is established. So Paul says, “if and it
is true” you have heard of God’s revelation to me regarding the administration of
the grace of God to you Gentiles, as I wrote briefly to you before. That you
may understand this mystery that God in His mercy and grace has provided for
all, both Jew and Gentile to be heirs of the Kingdom of God and recipients of
all of God’s promises in Christ by the gospel. According to the grace of God, I
am a minister to you Ephesians in Grace by the effective working of the Power
of God.
