CJB – Joel 2: 12 “Yet even now,” says Adonai, “turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping and lamenting.” 13 Tear your heart, not your garments; and turn to Adonai your God. For he is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in grace, and willing to change his mind about disaster. 14 Who knows? He may turn, change his mind and leave a blessing behind him, [enough for] grain offerings and drink offerings to present to Adonai your God. 15 “Blow the shofar in Tziyon (Zion)! Proclaim a holy fast, call for a solemn assembly.” 16 Gather the people; consecrate the congregation; assemble the leaders; gather the children, even infants sucking at the breast; let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride the bridal chamber. 17 Let the cohanim, who serve Adonai, stand weeping between the vestibule and the altar. Let them say, “Spare your people, Adonai! Don’t expose your heritage to mockery, or make them a byword among the Goyim. Why should the peoples say, ‘Where is their God?’”

(2) Biblical Evidence that demands decision – 1 Samuel 2
1 Samuel 3:1 Samuel’s Call – The boy Samuel served the Lord in Eli’s presence. In those days, the word of the Lord was rare and prophetic visions were not widespread.
Speaking strictly of the national church of the U.S.A.. There are a remnant of saints today that are serving the Lord who are set apart (like Samuel and Eli) from the corruption found in our religious activity called Christianity today. Eli a priest of God who had two sons who were wicked before the LORD, these men were also priests.
The Word of the Lord is not heard in many churches in this land of the (not so) free anymore. This is not the fault of gthe overnment although the government is involved. God is closing the doors of many conglomerate gatherings we call church. Like Eli the church has a glutenous appetite like that of Eli and its bed is rotten with the filth and lifestyles of Hophni and Phinehas.
I do not have a trumpet and if I did I would not know how to use it as God might suggest! But we ought to gather the people; and set apart the congregation; assemble leaders of godly character; gather the saints, even new born babes in Christ. The church needs to be re-inspired – The Holy Spirit is still at work on the earth. People, albeit but a few are still being saved, the gospel is alive and well. It is the church that has become old and sluggish as is the evangelist who speaks vanity.
Revelation 3:14 “Write to the angel of the church in Laodicea: Thus says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the originator of God’s creation: 15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit[i] you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I advise you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be zealous and repent. 20 See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 “To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 “Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.”
