A Bible snippet—and more
2 Corinthians 4:4 (CSB)

Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not give up. Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting deceitfully or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth. But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,[a] who is the image of God. For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake. For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

The Christ/Messiah – Is The LORD Call to Repentance

Our life after our rebirth in Jesus Christ is characterized by ‘faith in Christ alone’ as such, we have renounced, secret and shameful acts of sin. Do I need to announce what those are, I think not, since my list is so large it overlaps yours. But I am reminded of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 where he lists the unrighteous acts of the church at Corinth. Sinful practices of the world being practiced within the congregation. Read 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 to understand the context.

Whether we like to admit it or not. No! we do not like to admit it, but we often walk in the flesh according to principles of the world controlled by Satan. THIS ladies and gentlemen is the condition of the church today. When I minister in the prisons here in Connecticut, but not since the pandemic, many of the inmates confessed that they had a Christian upbringing. Sons of pastors and children of church leaders. Of these failures, all had one thing in common. Each one of them departed from FAITH. Now, not all people who depart from faith end up in jail! Most of them stay in the church and become—earthenware, covered with silver dross.

A child of God walking by Faith in God is like a bright day with no cloud in the sky. He or she is like the sweet aroma of a fresh, joyful day. These are those who walk in faith are bright, cheerful, and fresh. On the contrary, the child of God who walks by the sight of this world are; dull, uncheerful, and sour.
