SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 12:35-48
Then Peter said to Him, “Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?” And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? “Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. “Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has.  “But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, “the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. “And that servant who knew his master’s will and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. “But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
Does the LORD answer Peter’s question, (vs 41) ‘are You speaking to us disciples only, or are you speaking of all peoples’? We always need to understand that the words in italics are added these are not in the original manuscripts, this is especially true for King James and New King James Versions; – yes – Jesus is speaking to all disciples, but not all peoples. Disciples are (saints or children) of the Living God. (1) We children of God serve the LORD and each of us are ‘stewards’ over our house (temple) see 1 Corinthians 3:11-17.

(2) not all children of God are ‘good stewards’ some drift away, these drift away for only ONE reason, they fail to walk by faith, whenever we take our eyes off of Jesus and follow any worldly course, our faith in the Christ has failed. This is a spiritually dangerous place to be. The church (the body of Christ) lives in the ‘latter times’ and deceit is all around us. ALL of this deceit is in RELIGION, (SYSTEMS OF WORKS RELATED THEOLOGY) make no mistake. The doctrines of demons are very present in churches all around this world. Notice 1 Timothy 4:1-5. Now the Spirit (The Holy Spirit) clearly reveals that in later times (our times) some will depart from faith and follow things taught by demons.

(3) Luke 12:36 – God calls us to be mature children, waiting patiently for the return of the Messiah. He will come again, and His ‘knock’ will be heard. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20) Today churches are like the church of Laodicea, we are lukewarm, the church with many members. But as mentioned earlier. Each of us INDIVIDUALLY are responsible to God to walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT.  Hebrews 11:1, Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
