SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 19-41-44
Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.  “For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,  “and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
We will return to Luke 12 after this week of sacrifice “Jesus is forsaken GOD is estranged from GOD!” Think about this in your soul. It is not enough to know the words of this wonderful hymn (HIS robes for mine) as we ought to let the truth of RIGHTEOUSNESS sink deep, deep where life matters! It seems that we readily cloth our bodies with the robes of this world which are the unrighteous deeds of fallen flesh.

Plainly we are encouraged by the apostle Paul in Romans 13:11-14 – And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. the night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

If you do not know the events leading up to the sacrifice of God’s LAMB for the sin of the world, then God has a wonderful gift for you. God is willing to “visit” with you, just as He visited with His people in Jerusalem on that Sunday in April of AD 30. This visit to Jerusalem was the final opportunity for the nation to repent and accept the Messiah.

Luke 19:38-40 – The crowd of people readily accepted the MAN riding on a donkey, but the religious men of the city refused to allow the crowd to crown this MAN as their Messiah. Jesus said to the Scribes and Pharisees “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” If you take the moment, please read Habakkuk 2 and you will see why the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes rejected their Messiah. “Coveting and Pride” is Satan’s tool to destroy. But greater is HE that is in God’s children that he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
