SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 9:37-42

Now it happened on the next day when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him. Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child. “And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him.  “So, I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not”. Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.” And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
Do you remember the day of your salvation? I know from the testimony of others that most remember even the day and the hour. For me, it was May 21, 1975, around 8am. What is important? It was the first time that I expressed faith in the LORD Jesus. Personal faith that God could and would deliver me from my present circumstance and forgive me of SIN, UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, AND JUDGMENT.

The convicting work of the Holy Spirit is to personally convict the unbeliever of sin. What sin is this? The sin of not believing in JESUS. (Remember – Jesus is the LAMB (sacrifice) for all the sin that people on this corrupted earth has or will ever commit. Remember, if you are alive and on this corrupted earth, YOU are a sinful person in the eyes of the LORD if you have failed to faithfully submit [believe] to the truth of the gospel. Being born again is not a religion, it is PERSONAL faith, guided by the Holy Spirit of God to believe.

Take a look around, what would Jesus hear today from the crowd. Infirmities, bondage and suffering, sickness and dying… NOTHING has changed, has it? How quickly we have forgotten, “Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever!” (Heb 13:8) Jesus today would still say, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? Come to Me and find rest for your soul.” The kingdom of heaven is at hand and He can be found by personal faith in Him alone.
