SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 9:18-22
And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” So, they answered and said, “John the Baptist, but some say Elijah, and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.” And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES: Jesus, the Christ of God/Messiah
The gospels are overflowing with nuggets of gold and silver of Truth; Truth that is only found in the Holy Bible. I suppose this thought could be refined. Since if you have a nugget or two of the minerals, these do not look very appealing and you also know the worth. The Word of God is far richer with the Wisdom of God and when studied it goes beyond our greatest dreams or goals of understanding, then something dug up from the earth, Read what Solomon has to say in Proverbs 25:11 – A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver.

The Words of the Christ are just that, gold and silver, fitly spoken by Him and applied fitly to everyone who hears Him. “Who do people say that I am?” [gold] The disciples answered Jesus and told Him what they had heard. They heard these following statements from people who witnessed the miracles done through the faith of Jesus by the Will of God the Father. “Some say you are John the Baptizer, but some say, Elijah, while others say that, one of the old prophets has risen again. The people in the crowd were discussing the events, just as they do today in religious circles, so Jesus posed a second question. “But who do you say that I am”

Peter is picked on by most in Christendom today, he was unlearned, a fisherman and he was outspoken. As a human being, we would not expect him to be anything other than a fisherman. God looks on the heart and soul of all His children, it does not matter to God if your grammar stinks, or if you are unshaven. God has only one desire. To hear from the lips of all His children that we must all confess. “You Jesus are the Messiah of God” See John 11:27.

Jesus is the Lamb (sacrifice) of God, who takes away the sin of the WORLD! Now the question is, “How much sin is that?” ALL SIN, past, present, and future, nailed to the cross and the world bears it no more. WE are to believe God PERSONALLY (ONE ON ONE WITH GOD as He gave His SON PERSONALLY to you. This is the FAITH, THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR AND THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.
