SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:  Luke 8:28-29 – The Eternal Plan of God
Then they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!” For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.

The event above is true, many believe, even leaders of churches believe that demon possessed people are simply crazy or have some issue with their ‘psyche’. The subject of ‘demon possession is often ‘off-limits’. Fear, not Faith is the driving force behind the scene that chase pastors and teachers from this subject. Of course, I am not an authority in this and do not pretend to be.

I think the subject of demon possession is interesting and also the events when read can be entertaining. But God did not intend for His Word to be ‘interesting or entertaining’. The apostle Paul, who also ran into demon possessed people in his ministry, had this say this about all of the Word of the Living God. 2 Timothy 2:14-16 – Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

I sincerely believe that our world, including the United States of America, is saturated with demon possessed people. National governments, local townships, and public arenas where children are influenced (schools, etc) and on down the chain – even our personal families are affected by demons, who are directly controlled by Satan. Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Our diligence in spiritual awareness is focused on people, not the demonic forces possessing or influencing them. All the while our focus is blinded by human performance, Satan skillfully uses his demonic task force and finds another spiritual or national freedom to destroy. 1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Do not take what I say WRONG, humanity is accountable to God and man for the things we do, and we are all guilty of before God. Romans 1:18-32, but also remember John 1:29.
